Why Golf at Nevada County Country Club?
Nevada County Country Club is a beautiful historic golf course located in Grass Valley, a few blocks off Highway 49
Additional services include golf cart rental (both electric and pull carts), club rentals, hosting of tournaments, and the Pro Shop, with equipment, balls, accessories and clothing for the serious and casual golfer alike. Group and private lessons with a Class A PGA professional are offered.
Activities are based in the historic Victorian era Clubhouse that dates to the 1800s, with a full bar, full kitchen (used for member gatherings and special events), meeting and dining areas (there is no food service; snacks are available) and an expansive sun deck with golf course view. In addition, the club features a large swimming pool that is open to members and guests daily in the warm months.
We’re open all year, and although the golf course can be closed due to winter storms and snow, cool season golfing conditions are often surprisingly good. Frost delays are not uncommon in the winter months.
While You’re in the Area
Nevada County Country Club is located in heart of California Gold Country. The well-preserved and restored Gold Rush towns of Grass Valley and Nevada City are filled with interesting sights and activities. See the many boutiques and specialty shops. Enjoy fine restaurants, coffee houses and watering holes. There are 14 wineries in the immediate area, with several downtown and on-site tasting rooms.
Membership in the Nevada County Country Club makes golf affordable for the whole family. The club hosts a number of member tournaments and social events throughout the year. Memberships are limited in number but now available. The club charter maximum is 325 members; when that level is reached a waiting list is used. For membership information, call Club Professional Mike Rademaker at 530-273-6436.
